CuppaPug Waiting Lists Privacy Notice
This notice explains how CuppaPug looks after the personal information you give us when you join the CuppaPug app waiting list, the Jacksonville opening waiting list, the Sydney opening waiting list, the Los Angeles pop-up ticket list, the California Pugtoberfestaween update list, the London Pug Rescue Yoga priority list, the Manchester Pug Brunchin’ priority list, or the London Man Can Cook waitlist. It complements our general CuppaPug Privacy Policy.
Who we are
CuppaPug is a trading name of Pugs Cafe Ltd (“we”, “us”), the data controller for the information you submit through the waiting list. We are a company registered in England & Wales (company number 13447557), registered office 187 Nursery Road, Bohemia Place, London, England, E9 6PB. If you have any questions about this notice or your data, contact us at bookings@cuppapug.com.
What we collect
- Your name and email address.
- A record of your consent: the exact wording you agreed to, its version, and the date and time you gave it.
- Your approximate country (derived from your connection by our security provider). We do not store your IP address or browser/device details.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use your name and email only for the list you chose: to let you know when the CuppaPug app opens, or to share Jacksonville, Sydney, Los Angeles, California Pugtoberfestaween, London Pug Rescue Yoga, Manchester Pug Brunchin’ or London Man Can Cook updates, including booking releases where relevant. Where the checkbox says so, your opt-in also covers occasional related pug updates. Our lawful basis under UK data-protection law is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). We do not carry out any profiling or automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data or share it for anyone else’s marketing. We use a small number of trusted service providers who process it on our behalf under appropriate data-protection terms:
- Cloudflare: spam/abuse protection for the form.
- Google: secure storage of the signup list and immediate confirmation emails.
- Wix: email marketing, to send the launch email and updates.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK/EEA; where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as UK/EU standard contractual clauses) are in place.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until we’ve sent the launch, booking or event updates for the list you joined, or until you ask us to remove them or unsubscribe, whichever comes first. After that we delete them within 90 days.
Cookies
The waiting list pages do not ask for advertising or analytics cookies. If you have already accepted analytics or marketing on our booking pages, that choice also applies on the waiting list pages, and some lists (such as Pug Rescue Yoga, Pug Brunchin’ and Man Can Cook) sit on booking pages. Our Booking Privacy and Cookie Notice explains those tools and how to change your choice. If bot-protection is switched on, our security provider may set a strictly-necessary token to verify you are a real visitor.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR, where it applies, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time by replying to a confirmation email or emailing us at the address below. We’ll remove you from the list you joined.
To exercise any of these, email bookings@cuppapug.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Depending on where you live, local privacy law may give you additional rights. You can use the same email address to make any privacy request. Every marketing email will also include a clear way to unsubscribe.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle waiting-list data, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above.
